Buteline pipe in New Zealand is extruded out of premium grade Polybutene-1 (PB-1), a non-hybrid material specifically developed for use with hot and cold potable water.
Buteline grey Polybutene-1 pipe can withstand high temperatures and pressures. It is manufactured to meet the exacting Australian and New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 2642, complies with the AS/NZS 4020 Food Grade Standard, and is a proven solution for the conveyance of clean healthy drinking water.
Buteline pipe is extruded from premium grade Polybutene-1 (PB-1) using equipment designed and built by Buteline's engineering division. The Pipewinder (pictured) automatically cuts quality assurance samples which, in addition with Buteline's laboratory testing, ensures consistent production of high quality pipe that exceed even the most stringent world standards.
Coloured grey, Buteline PB-1 pipe is available in 12mm, 15mm, 20mm and 28mm sizes, as 5m lengths and 50m coils. 100m, 150m and 200m coils are available by special request. Recycled Water pipe (in lilac colour) and Rainwater pipe (in green colour) are both available in 15mm and 20mm as 5m lengths and 50m coils.
The installation process for Buteline is very quick and simple, and always provides a visual indicator of joint completion: Simply cut, insert, clamp, complete!
